So called top trainers

An ICONOCLAST'S weekend Essay on top trainers like Michael Ellis and others.

Using Michael Ellis only as an example. He is a good guy and I like him.

While Michal Ellis is a great trainer and according to many, he is a genius, yet he trains with cookies like any Yahoo beginner trainer. So why is he thought of as a genius? Because everybody said so.? Well I don't. I am not lemming and like to think independently, and question authority. Why? Because I am an Iconoclast. And I offer you to do the same. So Michael can really nicely explain cookie training - for example - but as my friend Chuck once memorably said: " It all sounds good untill someone challenges it." and many of his points can be easily challenged and explained,...also nicelly. Of course, the one-eyed "King" appears as a genius to a "blind" person. That is why Chinse's proverb says: "Ask thousand people and then make up your mind."

He He ...Of course, this proverb is 1000s of years old so by current dog training standards it must be "obsolete", "old school" and "debunked". But do not get me started. 🙂
